Das ZuckerFabrik (DE)

Out for a day with CmdCord visiting a few places we had seen before we stumbled across this sugar factory.

I couldn’t find much information about it other than it was founded in 1876 before been extensively rebuilt in the 1960’s

A large fire broke out at the factory during 2009 which needed over 200 fire fighters to bring the fire under control.

The factory has laid empty for many years although i cannot find when the place shutdown, during 2013 the place was stripped by copper thieves however luckily plenty remains and something i’ve not seen before.
