After a day trotting around some of Germany’s more unknown exploring spots we decided to have a look at an old aircraft museum which closed it’s doors in 2007. Chambre De Commerce (BE)

The Chambre De Commerce in Belgium is a feast for the eyes the old neo-gothic style building has stood the test of time and makes and excellent place for an early morning explore.

The Chambre was originally built around 1531 by Joseph Schadde but has been renovated from it’s original form after 2 fires in 1583 and 1858. Continue reading

The Courthouse (DE)

There are many things in the cities around us which are abandoned and unseen by the general public, this is what makes Urban Exploration so exciting for me, to see things what are off limits and forgotten about.

This courthouse in Germany is such an example, the staircase is by far the main attraction here, the symmetry is amazing, the site is currently under development but i understand the staircase is been kept to serve as the centre piece of the new building and rightly so. Continue reading

Power plant CM / BR is located in the northern part of Belgium and is a sister plant to Power Station Maybach the only difference is that CM / BR was a coal and gas powered station and Maybach was gas and fuel oil only this is evident with the clearly visible coal conveyor systems at CM / BR. Power Plant Maybach (BE)

Belgium… Some would say an urban explorers dream, the country is littered with abandoned industrial installations from factories to power stations in extremely good condition and are extremely rewarding to explore.

We stumbled across this power plant not even knowing of it’s existence but it would appear its been reported before and labeled as “Maybach” earlier in the year but with no history. Continue reading
